Summary/Abstract: There is an interest of researchers, especially Americans, in the life of peasants from Central and South‑Eastern Europe due to the fact that this social category constituted a significant part of the immigrants who arrived in the United States in the last decades of the century XIX and the beginning of the century the twentieth. In addition, how the influence of these people spilt over the European countryside after their return from America remains a topic still under‑researched today.
