Summary/Abstract: The following contribution describes and explains the main philosophy, purpose and mission as well as historical background, basic structure, key features and role played by the Federal Reserve System as an unique example for a very special mixed holder of state’s economic and especially monetary policy, in its whole performance in both historical and current internal political and economic relations, with the key accent on a brief review and clarifying the main processes of creation of political and legal status of the Federal Reserve System in the face of the United States Government, both houses of the United States Congress as well as in the relation to general public perception of the Federal Reserve System's decision and policy making processes.
