The Peace of Passarowitz, 1718 collection originates from proceedings of the academic conference held on 14–15 November 2009, thanks to Milorad Đorđević, National Museum Požarevac director initiative. Conference gathered scientists from Serbia, the region, Europe and the US. The editor, Charles Ingrao (Purdue University, USA), reviewers and members of Scientific board, Karl Roider, Paula Fichtner and Derek McKay, nowadays belong among the most respected experts on the history of the Habsburg monarchy. This conference is also one of the attempts to renew permanent scientific cooperation with Croatia. The Collection appearance also established continuity with previous generation that early modern studies on Habsburg monarchy made available to American institutions, using huge potential of US universities and foundations: the generation of Bela Kiraly, Wayne Vujačić, Stephen Fisher Galati, Paula Fichtner.
