Summary/Abstract: This article showcases a successful cooperation that addresses a novel addition introduced in the 2017 Music Theory school curricula, with a particular emphasis on creative elements. The exemplified scenario is a product of a partnership between two Music-Specialised High Schools. The students, who played a pivotal and valued role in this activity, were guided by coordinating teachers and supported by the section dedicated to creative aspects of the platform https://www.cantacumine.ro/. They had the opportunity to develop their creative talent in rhythmical-melodic and harmonic contexts, creating new musical structures in one, two or three parts. The students used notation programs to create their compositions, demonstrating their eagerness to acquire digital music notation skills through dedicated practice, largely carried out after school hours.
