Summary/Abstract: End of the second and beginning of the third millennium presents the world in increasingly unsettled and accelerated political events. It is undeniable that complex relations between the secularized West and Islam, which is manifested in different ways around the world, opened a multitude of problems related to planetary triumphalism oriented towards the liberal concept of globalization on one side, and due to greater hegemony of Europe and the United States of America to the Middle East with a projection of a unipolar power relations on the other. Such logic of the new world order, as in the past, resists reducing to only one truth and only one force globally. Since the critical political, economic, demographic and social protests humanity is gradually entering into the social and religious identity crisis which makes the „clash of civilizations“ even more evident, demonstrating various forms of confrontation of Islam with the non-Islamic. This makes the old problems of multi-decade long Arab-Israeli conflict current, through the „Arab Spring“ and the Iranian resistance towards international control of nuclear weapons and programs, to the emergence of various socialist, secular-reformation, traditional and fundamentalist movements within Islam itself. There is no doubt that excessive involvement of the Western powers to the formation of the „great and the new Middle East“, not only alienates them from the Islamic world, but also leads to a new „Arab anger“ thus promoting the development of new and more militant Islamist groups across the Middle East.
