Summary/Abstract: The paper presents data obtained from testing the mechanical resistance of degraded and consolidated wood by means of 5- 25% Paraloid B72 in butyl acetate, using the Sibtec Scientific DMP 709607 resistograph. The assessment of the rise in wood hardness after consolidation was conducted by comparing charts and noticing a high and even hardness within the depth of the wood on the samples treated with 15% Paraloid B72.
