Names for red shades in Hungarian

Summary/Abstract: In Hungarian there are even two terms for red, one of the primary colours, which are more or less equally used. However, in spite of this specificity, the words piros and vörös cover a wide range of tones, which have proved insufficient in everyday communication.Adjective constructions and compounds can multiply and accurately determine the names of red shades. Associative names of colours enrich the vocabulary, accurately determine the shades of the same color, and express the characteristics of the objects. At the end of this paper the autor presents the table with listed shades of red tones in the Hungarian language, with unique codes, names in English and Serbian equivalents.
