Summary/Abstract: When a text belongs to the economic terminology and it is related to a specific topic, I, as a translator, need to have certain linguistic, communication and textual abilities to fully understand its significance. Then, my objective as a translator is to see how the text was created in relation to its stylistic, syntactic and lexical characteristics and also to its semantic, pragmatic and semiotic particularities that might create confusion during the translation process. The first two translation options would be carefully revised to see if the similarity situations I found have been analysed appropriately. It is a mandatory demand for a professional translator to know the communicative value of the economic text of the object language and of the closest equivalent of the metalanguage.
