A Competent Oriented Pedagogical Approach During the Class Time in Primary Education

Summary/Abstract: This article reviews the content and main methodological directions for organizing and conducting of competency-based approach for work in the class time. Different definitions of competency, its content and characteristics are systemized and analyzed. Further, the competence methods in scientific literature and European educational policy are analyzed. Described and structured in a systems of components in the class time. Those are organized in pedagogical model. This model includes a system of 112 expected results, 40 groups of pedagogical topics, tasks and activities in the main aspects of interdisciplinary complex of civic, health, environmental and intercultural education. It integrates the main subject areas in the class time. Characteristics of this model, delivered from eight years of work on its implementation in the Bulgarian educational system, are presented. The basic approaches, methods, techniques, tasks and activities for forming competences and on all compulsory topics during the class are described.
