Summary/Abstract: The article tries to establish a relationship between feminine and masculine, the two semantic poles, found, in a wide area, in Colette's litterary creation. We have noticed that there are situations in which the two sexes are in conflict, for various reasons, but also various circumstances in which the two sexes tend to form a platonic whole. This dual range of ordering epic material caught our attention. We submitted to the analysis the three novels translated into Romanian: Chéri, The Vagabond and Duo.
