Summary/Abstract: Chéri is the most famous novel of the works of the writer from the French space, Colette. In this article we propose to analyze the beginning part of the novel. It has the role of projecting the reader into a carefully crafted literary universe, which hides behind some insignificant informations relevant details for the diegesis approach. The accumulation of objects found in the boudoir of the female character as well as the dialogue between Léa and Chéri offer to reader the possibility of creating conjectures that, during the course of the novel, may prove to be true or false.
