Summary/Abstract: The novel Risiptorii, inspired by the urban environment, appeared after Marin Preda had imposed a massive rural novel - Morometii. Through the novels of urban inspiration, Marin Preda tried to discover the topic of the storyteller and create his own style. Scorers develop all the themes addressed by the writers of the "obsessive decade": literacy, cooperativism, political activism, the dilemmas of the intellectual and the creator. But all are represented by atypical characters for the theme and typology of Marin Preda's novels. Through the facts presented, through the characters and their destiny, the novel Risipitorii realizes a moral radiography of the society at a historically determined stage. The angle of view from which the facts of the book are presented is a moral one. The multiple narrative levels of the novel Risipitorii approach the categories of relationships between characters, in which the character is no longer an individuality, but the couple, the group. The novel is a long series of confessions, in which one character confesses to another.
