Summary/Abstract: The main focus of this article will be on the second part of Petar Mandžukov’s essay titled “The First World War – a Historical Essay” which is dominated by the memories and experiences he had as a direct participant, i.e. as a Bulgarian soldier in the First World War. In other words, Petar Mandžukov describes the events in the war from the perspective of an ordinary soldier.
