Summary/Abstract: The resistance movement is a Romanian-only phenomenon that occurred in all areas of the country. Dobrudja, an ethnic mosaic, was part of it and a melting pot of the resistance Movement. The typical representative of the Dobrudjan resistance, its leader Gogu Puiu, fought against communism to his death, bringing together Romanians, Macedonians, Turks and Bulgarians into the resistance. The resistance in Dobrudja was active between 1944 and 1953, and 1948-1952 was the most feverish period, described here, in this study.
