Summary/Abstract: The construction of the Danube-Black Sea Canal, especially the uncompleted works, represented one of the most tough tests for Romanians regarding the modification of the natural structure of a region in an age in which others should be the priorities of a political regime which promoted the idea of a better life in Romania.
