Summary/Abstract: This article’s purpose is revealing the legal basis of the construction of the Danube-Black Sea Canal during 1949-1953 via a double approach: the series of official documents issued by the Romanian government on one hand, and on the other hand the decision of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Romanian Worker’s Party.
