Summary/Abstract: In this article we aim to trace the repercussions of the passage of time for the protagonist of the novel Chéri. The man characterized by immaturity, in the first part of the novel, becomes a responsible adult, in perpetual search of the lost universe. Not finding his stability, he declares himself a loser in front of time, thus ending up resorting to reckless actions.
