THE CARICATURAL IMAGE OF TEACHING IN IONESCO’S WORK

Summary/Abstract: The image of teaching becomes a caricature through the teacher’s image. Ionesco amuses himself by playing with words in order to prove that language and teaching are some sort of mechanisms that work in vain. What is really parodied and denounced is the resort to theoretical systems and to a technical language that is incomprehensible to the ordinary people and that allows the dissimulation of the void in thinking.
