Summary/Abstract: The article discusses a collection of stamps, blocks, envelopes, stamps, postcards and banknotes issued by underground solidarity publishing houses and other illegally operating social and political groups, which the author managed to collect mainly at the time when they were issued and distributed. The fortieth anniversary of the introduction of martial law in Poland was an opportunity to present the underground post stamps from 1981–1989 in the former “Iskra” Cinema in Pila (Piła) at the exhibition entitled Underground postage stamps from 1981–1989 from the Edwin Klessa collection. The exhibition included nearly 350 A4 exhibition sheets.
