Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to try to theoretically determine the impact of the prison environment on women with young children, with a particular focus on children, to present an interdisciplinary problem, on the basis of an all-out institution such as a prison, in the context of the impact of this phenomenon on the adult life of a child raising himself (even for the first 3 years of his life) in prison isolation. The author of the publication is convinced that the biographical past of prison mothers significantly affects their present, and the detention of convicted women mothers and their children in conditions of prison isolation strongly determines their future. The question of the meaning of the impacts carried out in prison conditions returns. The foundation for the formation of a sense of human responsibility is the original environment of life – including, in the main, the relationship and emotional bonds between mother and child. The acquired sense of security the child retains for life. Unfortunately, it seems that the mothers women in prison are convicted first, then they perform maternity functions
