Summary/Abstract: The summarizing study provides the most comprehensive overview of works that deal with a multidimensional research on neologisms in the Polish language. The study pays attention only to publications that are specifically focused on neological issues. It focuses primarily on neological book publications and selectively on individually published scientific studies as well as on monothematic neological proceedings. It takes into consideration monographs and studies dealing with neologisms in the Polish language, but it also stresses several publications that focus on Polish neologisms in the inter-linguistic context. All the described monographs and studies originated in the second half of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century. Firstly, monographs which can be considered as essential, relevant and representative in the given field (part 1.1) are presented in chronological order. These are mainly publications on lexicology, word-formation and phraseology. In individual monographs the aspect of research into neologisms is concretized and their structure and excerption sources of the material base are briefly described as well. Along with the definition of the subject of research by specific authors, the classification of neologisms is also reflected. Particular attention is drawn to the dictionaries of neologisms, which are in some cases a part of monographic descriptions. In the second part (1.2), case studies on neological issues are selectively characterized and divided into several thematic areas to show the multidimensionality of the research and at the same time to outline basic directions of research into neology.
