Creating a lexicographic product which presents anatomical terminosystem for the purposes of medical education in Bulgaria is a serious linguistic and methodological challenge in view of the growing interest in studying specialized terms in various scientific areas. The Anatomical Latin-Bulgarian Dictionary is intended for university students of medicine, dental medicine, pharmacy, biology and college students, lecturers and specialists who need a reference book in translating anatomical nomenclature. In this sense the dictionary serves as a multifunctional guidebook, which combines theoretical principles and practical exercises.

This paper attempts to provide an overview of new motifs, protagonists and concepts in literary works conceived as aesthetic representations of various models of social withdrawal and isolation. To illuminate the social context, sustainable lifestyles and trends that emerged at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries (homing, cocooning, hikikomori syndrome) were used and interpreted as counter-designs to the social changes brought about by globalisation and digitalisation.

Logopedics, as a science of speech disturbances, is an interdisciplinary branch of science. While trying to answer questions pertaining to speech disturbances, their description and aetiology, as well as trying to help those individuals affected by these disturbances, logopedics makes use of achievements of other disciplines like linguistics, laryngology, phoniatrics, orthodoncy, psychology, pedagogy etc. Relatively young trend in linguistic research is cognitive linguistics which constitutes an integral part of all cognitive sciences and is also an interdisciplinary branch of science. The Author advocates for the possibility of applying cognitive linguistics, and especially the prototype theory, in the logopedic research. One of the relatively new scientific disciplines is logopedics. It addresses speech problems. The author raises the question of the depth of scientific reflection in logopedics and at the same time indicates that there is a possibility of applying the cognitive linguistics, particularly the prototype theory in the logopedic research. Referring to her own research and her own reflection upon the problem she describes the prototypes which are characteristic of children with cleft palate - they are as follows: the anatomical prototype, the prototype of biological dysfunctions and the prototype of communication.

Political caricature as one of the political discourse genres portrays the characteristic comic affect, inter alia, by the implementation of folklore characters, motives, calendar, conventionalities and figurativeness. Especially intensive and diverse usage of the folklore language is evident in the first part of the 20th century, when traditions of parliamentary administration in Latvia just started to develop and the first Constitutional Assembly and first four Latvian parliaments, i.e. Saeima got elected. The popularity of the folklore “language” may also be substantiated by the fact that folklore and mass communication have close relation; theoretically they are non-dissociable because conventional formulas have been used in both verbal and visual communication. However, with the intermediation of the folklore the society expresses traditional values, whereas mass communication culture (which by nature is commercial) strives to create new knowledge, based on a traditional formula. The usage of the folklore “language” in Latvian cultural environment was promoted not only due to the favorable background of parliamentary democracy and freedom of speech, but also by the personalities of caricature authors, who were prominent intellectuals and representatives of art of their time and got excellent knowledge not only in the content of the folklore and its figurativeness, but also were able to apply the knowledge to express a new content related to the current events and interests of contemporary society. The folklore “language” in the beginning of the 20th century entered the political caricature genre in the form of citations, stylization and allusions. Practically, it covered all folklore genres and techniques of figurativeness; it confronted not only the traditional and contemporary values, but also created a new metaphorical understanding about the essence of the parliament and its operating principles. Such conceptual metaphors as “parliament – children” and “parliament – war” have proven to be sustainable even nowadays. Although the last Latvian humor and satire magazine “Dadzis” suspended its publication in 2008, the political caricature still remains popular in Latvia’s renewed democracy. It gets published in printed and electronic media and still serves as one of the most prominent reflections of public political processes.

The US years-long irresponsible policy with the excessive printing of dollars, reinforced by the COVID-19 crisis and the war in Ukraine, has led to a large public debt and increasing inflation in the US, which significantly threatens the position of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. The latest challenge to the dollar came from Russia, China and the BRICS countries. The paper analyzes the consequences of the war in Ukraine, the sanctions-based war between Russia and the West, the position of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency and the weaknesses of the international financial-monetary system leading to financial instability, frequent crises and growing inequality. A special emphasis has been placed on possible reforms of global finances and alternative proposals for a new reserve currency and more efficient work of global economic institutions (IMF) with the aim of achieving greater equality and faster economic growth.

The armed conflict in Ukraine has been at a rapid pace changing the economic, political, military, media and, consequently, ideological structure of the world order. The common divisions between liberalism, socialism, Fascism, conservativism, nationalism and other national derivatives of the Moderna, have started fading vis-a-vis the new, strictly moralistic, and necessarily Manichaean structure: ‘traditional’ vs. ‘non-traditional’ values. In this context, the attitude towards one’s own historical heritage shapes antagonistic ‘cultures of remembrance’, that divinize, and if need be, falsify the assumed civilization roots. On this basis, new legitimation patterns for ethical, political and economic confrontation are (de) constructed, which also applies to the armies of major powers crossing swords. Others can only with a smaller or bigger amount of enthusiasm – and with the inevitable domestic perturbation – keep up with the global trends of post-modern revitalization of the pre-modern legacy.

After the Russo-Ottoman War of 1877-1878 when Dobrudja became part of the Romanian state, Turkish language education continued to function in the traditional way remaining from the Ottoman period. Attempts to regulate the education of minorities existed in the interwar period when officials from the Kingdom of Romania adopted a series of measures in this regard. At the same time, there were initiatives from minorities, in the case of the Muslim community a sensitive aspect being that of the subjects that should be studied in schools. The first unified curriculum of Turkish primary schools in Dobrudja was prepared at the initiative of the "Association of Graduates of the Muslim Seminary in Dobrudja" and published in 1937 at the printing house of the "Emel" magazine. This article aims to analyze the content of the curriculum. Thus, an important contribution is made in terms of the code of conduct and the themes studied in the Turkish schools until the establishment of the communist regime. Given that the curriculum was published in Ottoman Turkish in 1937, long after the introduction of Kemalist reforms, that it proposes the use of the Ottoman alphabet, and that most of the program focuses on the study of religion, the paper tries to show whether it was an expression of opposition against the kemalist reforms or an attempt to improve the quality of education in Turkish schools in Dobrudja. To achieve this objective, beyond the analysis of the content of the program, the foundations of those who drafted it is also explained.

Media and technology convergence has caused many changes in the world of the young public - from preferred social media, to content creation, to media consumption and its volume. In the online world, young audiences live their own lives, often separate from real ones. This article aims to describe the paradigmatic changes associated not only with the convergence of media, but especially with the convergence of the public, which is most observable in young recipients - digital natives in the era of so-called technological interference. In addition to opportunities, these changes also bring with them certain risks, especially in the area of psychological and sociological survival. These include, in addition to the current FoMO and JoMO effect, many others, which this article, through a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach, seeks to identify and explore in the context of current trends in social media.

The present article seeks to analyze, via the act of donation, the relationship between donor and donee on the basis of the particular case of the will of the merchant Zafir Saroglu (1795 – 1887). Zafir Saroglu’s bequest portrays him both as a responsible family man, an exemplary Greek subject and a Bulgarian patriot who cared for Bulgaria’s prosperity. His bequest also contains the donor’s understanding of the problems facing the young Bulgarian state. In his opinion, they were focused on the need to modernize Bulgarian agriculture and raise the literacy level of the population. However, none of his plans came to fruition – his money was used for anti-Bulgarian causes and military purposes, and his name sank into oblivion.

The article analyzes the communicative activity of those students who have difficulties in mental development, as a condition for organizing an educational environment for children with special needs. It was concluded that the inability to communicate with school peers, teachers, and adults affects the organization of an inclusive educational environment (hereinafter – IES) for children with special educational needs (hereinafter – SEN). An example of creating an IES in an elementary school is offered. Specific difficulties that hinder the development of communication (communicative skills) among children aged 7 – 10 with limited health opportunities have been identified. The importance of game activities in the process of organizing an educational space for children with special needs is emphasized. An original author's method of formation of communication skills of students with SEN is proposed, which was based on the key provisions of the pedagogical system of the Italian scientist, doctor, teacher, civic activist, and organizer of educational institutions around the world M. Montessori. Creating an inclusive educational space for children with special needs, we programmed situations where students would develop self-care skills (dressing and undressing, changing shoes, cleaning, dusting, sweeping, taking care of flower pots, taking care of flower beds). Educational materials developed by M. Montessori were shown to the children. The teaching methods proposed by the scientist were also updated. The author's method of formation of communicative skills of students with SEN provided for various forms and methods of learning, both traditional and innovative (project activity, competitions, dramatization, discussion, public performances, didactic games, etc.). The peculiarities of the functioning of the IOP under the conditions of distance learning caused by the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic are characterized. It is emphasized the importance of organizing the game activities of students with SEN as one of the conditions for the successful functioning of IES in the school. The risks posed by online education for children with SEN are highlighted. It was concluded that the process of forming communication skills in students with SEN under the conditions of quarantine restrictions and online learning will become more effective if group work is established (if possible) in the learning process in the classroom and proper pedagogical assistance is provided to the student with SEN at home.

The accelerated implementation of information and communication technologies in all areas of public development requires in-depth studies of its effects at both national and global level. As education is one of the sectors most influenced by these trends, the need for systematic research on the application of digital technologies in the educational process is becoming increasingly apparent nowadays. In this context, the study presents an attempt to compare the level of use of e-services in education and other public sectors, also identifying the main target groups of users. The results of an author's empirical study are presented, which analyzes the state of the educational environment in Bulgaria, the use of information and communication technologies and their impact on it. The challenges in introducing digital education as well as the factors for their sustainable implementation in Bulgaria are also outlined. Based on the analysis are derived the types of educational e-applications offered, their quality, trends in their use, as well as the most typical groups of users of this type of education in Bulgaria.
