ULOGA I ODGOVORNOST ARHIVA U PROCESIMA INFORMATIZACIJE POSLOVA U PISARNICAMA REGISTRATURA (iskustva Arhiva Tuzlanskog kantona)

Author(s): Omer Zulić / Language(s): Bosnian,Croatian,Serbian Issue: 21/2018

Informatisation of jobs in registers in the part of the application of modern technologies, records management is the reality of the 21st century and as such there is no alternative. An increasing number of registries introduces and applies various information programs, which aim to have easier and easier handling and record management. However, as this area is not adequately (or by no means) regulated by regulations, in practice we have very different approaches, to those who are completely wrong and harmful. Therefore, this paper deals with some basic theoretical as well as practical consideration of these issues and the problem of introducing information systems into registry offices. The paper focuses on the question of whether the archives are sufficiently familiar with the mentioned processes, whether they are following, whether they are consulted, whether they participate in the creation of the program, and to what extent? In Bosnia and Herzegovina, these processes take place, to a greater or lesser degree, independent of the archives, which is not good, because archives risk that all such information, records and records are permanently lost. Therefore, archives have the obligation and responsibility to monitor and keep records in place, regardless of their form. In doing so, the author authorizes the key role, but also the responsibility of the author. In this sense, archives need to be more actively involved in the initial creation process (programs, software), establishing adequate professional guidelines (define requirements and expectations) and monitoring over the introduction and implementation of computerization. In addition, the archives must also work on the creation of personnel and IT preconditions (in archives) for acquiring electronic records which is the ultimate, final goal.

Author(s): Mirjana Marinković-Lepić / Language(s): Bosnian,Croatian,Serbian Issue: 21/2018

Archives in Bosnia and Herzegovina are increasingly adopting modern ways of communication, which include various tools - websites, press conferences, scientific and professional meetings, but do not give up traditional formsof communication, such as publishing and exhibition activity. Organization of theexhibition is a way of opening the archive to the public, a means of attracting visitorsand forms of educational and pedagogical activity. Exhibitions are a continuous activity of the archives, they are intended for the general public and can receive excellent results regarding the number of visitors. Through the realization of this typeof cultural content, the dynamic development of archival activity can be monitored, while achieving a certain level of cooperation with the wider community, which, again, has a significant impact on the promotion and affirmation of the archivalprofession. Today, in the age of information technology, archives are confronted withgreat challenges because they have to adapt to changes, even in the segment ofexhibition activity. The archives in Bosnia and Herzegovina have this section of thework, but there are different approaches to this activity, both in terms of the numberof exhibitions held and in terms of their presentation in the public, ie the use of thiskind of activity as a tool for affirmation of archival activities. The work includesthe exhibition activity of archival institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last10 years (period 2008–2017), based on the research by the method of analyzingthe contents of web pages and questionnaires on the effects of exhibition activity inrelation to visitors of the archive and their affirmation.

Renovating the Cultural Heritage of Traditional Shadow Theatre with eShadow. Design, Implementation, Evaluation and Use in Formal and Informal Learning

Author(s): Nektarios Moumoutzis,Marios Christoulakis,Stavros Christodoulakis,Desislava Paneva-Marinova / Language(s): English Issue: VIII/2018

Digital storytelling is an engaging learning environment that gained worldwide popularity over the last years. It offers a rich cross-curricular learning environment within which children design, create and present their own stories and develop many skills including literacy, presentation and communication skills as well as inquiry-based learning and digital skills. In this paper we present a new way of digital storytelling, a form of dramatized storytelling inspired by the rich tradition of Shadow Theater. This form of storytelling showcases an engaging way of renovating cultural heritage with the use of digital technologies. It combines a number of digital tools for the production of the digital stories covering all five phases of film making: scenario development, preproduction, production, post-production and distribution. eShadow can be used (a) to create digital shad-ow puppets, and (b) to set up, perform and record the scenes of the digital story (production phase). This way, digital story creation is wrapped around engaging learning scenarios, playful improvisations and creative learning. eShadow has been extensively used to support cross-curricular learning mainly in Greek schools. It is extended to support marionette-like interactions to promote its use in countries with relevant storytelling cultures.

Using Unity and Shield UI for Displaying 3D Medical Education Objects in the Web Browser

Using Unity and Shield UI for Displaying 3D Medical Education Objects in the Web Browser

Author(s): Vladimir Georgiev,Alexandra Nikolova,Emanuela Mitreva / Language(s): English Issue: VIII/2018

In this paper we describe how Unity and Shield UI frameworks are used for building the three-dimensional object rendering section of an online knowledge management system for human anatomy. 3D models of humans are organized in multiple levels of hierarchy and each component contains different types of related information. To allow seamless navigation, like searching for and selecting a specific organ, and viewing its medical description in several languages, developers would need to rely on an optimized and stable framework that can target web browsers as well as other platform builds. The specific requirements of this project called for trying the Unity package for building our 3D rendering scene and exporting it to the WebGL platform to make it available to its viewers on all modern web browsers. To build the rich web user interface and bring high-level user experience to the viewers, the Shield UI framework is integrated on top of the Unity webgl build.

Lost–Regained–Revised: Laura Papo Bohoreta, Sephardic Women in Bosnia, and Transcultural Survival Strategies in Memory

Lost–Regained–Revised: Laura Papo Bohoreta, Sephardic Women in Bosnia, and Transcultural Survival Strategies in Memory

Author(s): Magdalena Koch / Language(s): English Issue: 41/2018

This paper specifies and describes the main four stages and strategies of intercultural and memory survival of Sephardic women in Bosnia in the past (during the interwar period) and in the contemporary world (before, during, and after the collapse of Yugoslavia). The first strategy, named here as a (manu)script and orality/textuality one, is illustrated by a study Sephardic Woman in Bosnia (1932) by Jewish Sarajevo feminist Laura Papo Bohoreta (1891–1942). The second one, labeled as a translation and print strategy, is connected with the activity of Muhamed Nezirović (1934–2008), especially his translation of Papo’s book from Ladino into Bosnian (2005). The third one, recognized here as a cultural transfer strategy, is represented by the novels The Scent of Rain in the Balkans (1986) and The Ballad of Bohoreta (2006) by contemporary Serbian female writer Gordana Kuić (1942). And—last but not least—the fourth strategy of digitizing manuscripts and archival texts by Laura Papo is represented by Edina Spahić, Cecilia Prenz Kopušar, and Sejdalija Gušić, a team who prepared and has recently edited three collected books with Papo’s manuscripts (2015–2017).

Author(s): Diana Ivanova / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 3+4/2018

Establishment of an organization of health care in hospital structures to meet current requirements is impossible without the introduction of information systems in the work of the nursing staff. Basic professional nursing activities are focused on patient care and conducting research directed by doctors and drug therapy, but at the same time it is necessary recording the patient information. The aim of this study is to determine the skills of nurses for the implementation of information systems in health care. Conducted a survey of 100 nurses from the University Hospital “Lozenets” in 2017. Results. The data obtained show that the 1/5 of the nursing staff may not work with a computer, and only 12% are those who work with the information system of the hospital. Author(s): Martin Mirchev,Albena Kerekovska / Language(s): Bulgarian Issue: 3+4/2018

We live in a highly digitized and hyper-bound world in which information is being created, compiled and transferred extremely easily and fast. Technological capabilities are virtually unlimited and, while providing improvements for different aspects of our lives, they tend to pose important issues, especially when they affect the interests of the people concerned. In the field of public healthcare this is highly sensitive. Along with the rapid digitalization of personal information, one of those important issues refers to the actual ownership of health data, especially with the evermore increasing concern on maintaining data privacy. The aim is to analyze modern trends in patient information ownership from normative and ethical perspective. The results reveal three main trends of patient information ownership – public ownership, private ownership and regulations not based on the right of ownership.
