The purpose of the article is to highlight the socio-communication technology impact on library and information activities, their features, and goals of implementation to improve the quality of library and information services provision, to ensure an integrated, multi-faceted approach to solving the problems facing libraries in the context of transformation. The research methodology is based on a set of general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, generalization, and systematization. The scientific novelty of work lies in the disclosure of possibilities of information and communication technologies that provide an integrated unity - resources, products, and services to meet the needs of users through an increase in the share of information and analytical services. For the first time, such important information and analytical products as an electronic scientific agricultural library, databases on topical issues, incl. international electronic resources were considered. Conclusions. Social and communication technologies contribute to the formation of the new model of the library's activities as an information intermediary between users and endless arrays of industry information, able to create and develop an environment for providing services through quality information support. Thanks to the modern capabilities of information and communication services introduced in the National Scientific Agricultural Library NAAS, there is a transformation into an integrated unity - of resources and products, which in turn contribute to a wider service coverage in serving the user audience. The library as a component of the system of social communications has the opportunity not only to present resources in its profile but also to cooperate with other leading libraries in Ukraine and Europe on the formation of collections of web resources on specific topics. The Salesian Archive of the Province of Warsaw has always been located in the provincial council’s residence (Oświęcim 1919-1922, the Powiśle District of Warsaw 1923-1944, Lodz: Wodna Street 1945-1978 and Kopcińskiego Street 1978-1986, the Praga District of Warsaw 1986-present). Initially, the archive was headed by a provincial secretary. Generally, as a current archive, the Salesian Archive of the Province of Warsaw was associated with the Salesian secretariat and was established for its internal use. The archive cannot be referred to as historical until the 1960s. In 1967, Fr. Czesław Madej was seconded to deal with this task. During the German pacification of the Powiśle District of Warsaw in September 1944 the archive was set alight. The archival collection was partially recreated out of the unburnt part of the collection and materials located in other Salesian institutions. It is assumed that the main organiser of the archive was Fr. Andrzej Świda who, in 1972-1995, collected, arranged and systemised each of the archival items. He divided the collected acts and documents into units and subunits, arranging them in the same way as was done in the General Salesian Archive in Rome. Each of three adjacent rooms (the music collection repository, the study room and the main repository) was equipped with a reference library containing basic magazines, dictionaries, indexes, books on various Salesian topics, Salesian printed and typescript publications and typescripts of PhD and MA theses.

This article is devoted to the creation of a mathematical model processing the output signal of video surveillance systems, based on information about the characteristics of the signals of the objects of observation, in order to protect cultural heritage. The subject of the study is the relationship between the structure and parameters of the output signal, certain changes in the situation in the area of observation and detection of a signal from foreign objects against the background of noise. Typical physical conditions for the functioning of video surveillance systems are defined and general recommendations for maintaining the operating point are offered. Algorithms have been developed that realize the functionality of the optimal detector device by numerical methods.

This paper studies problems related to the development of craft software. It proposes an approach to developing an application for digital representation of stitches in cross stitch pattern software. The software is oriented to people manufacturing national Bulgarian costumes and clothing employing national Bulgarian cross stitch and embroidery. As UI elements, stitches are represented in XAML code. Graphic primitives are described in vector format; character transformations are allowed, and there are possibilities for creating combinations of stitches. The solution will be used in cross stitch software development.
