SOME ASPECTS OF IMPROVING THE METHODOLOGY OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS

Author(s): Merab Jikia / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2019

The main methodological peculiarity of economic analysis is that it can not only identify cause-effect relationships, but also provide their quantitative characterization. In other words, it ensures to measure the size of the impact of the factors affecting the performance of a company. This allows us to provide an accurate diagnosis on the conditions of economy and develop proper recommendations based on its outcomes. Therefore, the main purpose of economic analysis is to divide the object of study into fragments. For determining the number of the affecting factors and the size of the impact of each of these factors, the more simple elements the object of the study is represented, the more likely it is to understand the essence of the case and provide more definite conclusions. Obviously, the fragmentation of the analytical object depends on the purpose of analysis and the maximum possibility of its fragmentation. In this regard, in terms of market economy, particular importance is paid to the in-depth analysis of the improvement of production efficiency indicators, like capital productivity and labor productivity.

Author(s): Anca Milovan-Ciuta,Vasilica-Marinela Ardelean,Sid Ahmed Sahour,Florin Cristian Jurca / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2019

In this article we intend to review the literature on the influence of the country of origin on the quality assessment and decision to buy wine. Based on literature review, we formulated the research model and the hypotheses we want to test. The research framework proposed in this paper is part of a wider research that addresses the influence of the image of the country brand on the image of Romanian wines. The model takes into account the influence of several moderator factors of the relationship intensity between the country of origin and the quality assessment, namely the choice of the purchased wines: the purpose of the purchase, the place of purchase / consumption, the personality of the consumer, the inclination towards ethnocentrism, the consumer's gender and wine consumption expertise. The scale proposed to measure the influence of the country of origin on the perception of quality and choice of wine is the "Best-Worst" scale. The results of these studies may be useful to managers of wine producing / distributing companies in identifying market segments sensitive to various intrinsic and extrinsic attributes of wines and in promoting wine appropriately.

Author(s): Astrid Fortmueller,Raphael Gert Denis Murswieck,Matthias Duennweber / Language(s): English Issue: 1/2019

The focus of this research study is to identify the promotional marketing strategies that can be adopted at both project management and regional levels for a scientific theoretical exercise at hand. This will be efficiently realized through conducting investigations on the relevance of project marketing operations to the underlying project management practitioners as a whole. At the regional level, the scientific-based project would have to be promoted to people and stakeholders outside the organization at hand. It is expected that the marketing of this project will be able to coerce a great deal of external clients and compel them to clearly provide any form of support that could extends to financial and non-financial resources. A model that would normally work best is one as a one-time strategy. It allows the project manager to devalue the strategy through a sheer. The project manager can also go ahead and promote the idea of this project through friendship ties. They can use their friendship ties to impact influence on the entire project management framework. This sales method would help to downplay the notion related to the chain of authority and duty and can sometimes results to efficient work ethics.

CONSEQUENCES OF CRM CAPABILITIES DIMENSIONS ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND MARKET EFFECTIVENESS

Author(s): Simona-Mihaela Trif,Daniela-Liliana Tuleu / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2019

In today’s business environment the main challenge for companies is gaining and maintaining a competitive advantage. A potential source of competitive advantage is customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities. The main contribution of this paper is that we proposed and tested a research model that includes one antecedent and two consequences of CRM capabilities dimensions - customer interaction management (CIM) capability, customer relationship upgrading (CRU) capability and customer win-back (CWB) capability. In this study, we use data from a sample of 102 firms acting in B2B and B2C settings in Romania to investigate how customer relationship orientation (CRO) influences the three dimensions of CRM capabilities, and furthermore, how these dimensions determine customer satisfaction and market effectiveness - two performance outcomes. Our results reveal that CRO has a direct effect on these CRM capabilities. Critically, we found that only CIM capability and CWB capability drives customer satisfaction, while market effectiveness is driven by CRU capability. This paper also discusses the implication of this study, presents managerial implications and the limitations of this research, and provides avenues for further research.

"GREEN ECONOMY" – A NEW ECONOMIC DIRECTION

Author(s): Natia Surmanidze / Language(s): English Issue: 3/2019

The current environmental condition where we live in is polluted by the harmful toxic fumes of the industrial factories or the means of transportation. The land, water and air polluted from the technical wastes creates great threat to our health and to the one of our future generation. Therefore, it becomes necessary to introduce and to project the business activities and technologies which will reduce the harmful impacts on the environment as much as possible and at the same time will give the capability to use the limited resources effectively. In practice, all the research shows that the samples of the production and consumption are not sustainable in the long run. In case, the entire population of the planet consumes the same resource per capita as the average citizen in the developed country nowadays, the total demand for resources will exceed 4 times the Earth's capabilities. Consequently, it is clear that radical changes to the index and structure of the resources in the long-term should be implemented, which the world's developed and developing economy will use. Otherwise, the repeated and heavier crisis will endanger the sustainability of the global economy, the well-being of the nations and increase the possibility of combating for the resources (including, the possibility of the armed conflict). Another consequence of the unsustainable use of the world resources is the growth of a number of environmental risks, ranging from the global risks such as the climate change, the ozone layer formation, the loss of biodiversity etc. The "green economy" is based on the principle of the equality - including the equality between the generations, which implies that the existing generation should not ignore the needs of the future generations. In other words, the use of the planet resource at such level that will lose the future generation the chance to satisfy the requirements, it is not only unethical but destructive for all humanity. In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the researches are ongoing to make the long-term sustainable solutions, the success is achieved in the green economy - this is the way that some international organizations have been set as the main goal and the governments supported it.

OPPORTUNITIES OF HARNESSING ORGANIZATIONAL KNOWLEDGE

Author(s): Ruxandra Bejinaru / Language(s): English Issue: 2/2019

In order for an organization to harness the most out of its knowledge fluxes, informational stocks and data bases it must focus its interest specifically in those areas. Within this paper we point out the idea that understanding knowledge types and knowledge processes may lead to great performance opportunities for the employees and for the organization. We started our debate through emphasizing the role and importance of knowledge both as a historical concept and as a modern tool for practice. Many discussions about knowledge start from their place in a certain hierarchy and continue by emphasizing in turn each of the following levels. We brought to attention some arguments in order to explain how organizations may transform gradually their databases and information stocks into competitive knowledge. Organizational knowledge has different perspectives, forms and meanings depending very much on the context. Understanding the knowledge hierarchy makes it possible to be more effective and avoid errors by knowing exactly which type of knowledge one needs to use. Further we argue that correct identification of knowledge helps to guide these effectively and therefore contributes to the successful achievement of organizational tasks. At this point we present some very meaningful metaphors of knowledge.
