Folk music and folk culture of Bengal had a profound effect on Rabindranath’s musical essence. The various forms of folklore, the beauty of its rhyme and literary value influenced the poet’s literary pursuits in many ways. Rabindranath brought a new form by breaking and re-modelling the structure of various folk-melodies and by mixing those with his self-created tunes. This paper will try to examine the influence of folk music in Rabindra Sangeet and will try to trace the journey of Rabindranath’s perception of the same.

Today the total amount of data created, captured, and consumed in the world is increasing at a rapid rate, as digitally driven organizations continue to contribute to the ever- growing global data sphere. (Holst, Statista Report 2020). This data brings with it a plethora of opportunities for organizations across different sectors. Hence, their hiring outlook is shifting towards candidates who possess the abilities to decode data and generate actionable insights to gain a competitive advantage. A career in data science offers great scope and the demand for such candidates is expected to rise steeply. When companies hire for big data and data science roles, they often provide training. From an HR perspective, it is important to understand how many of them would work for the company in the future or how many look at the training with an upskilling perspective for new jobs. HR has the aim of reducing costs and time required to conduct trainings by designing courses aligning to the candidate’s interest and needs. In this paper, we explored the data based on features including demographics, education and prior experience of the candidates. We made use of machine learning algorithms, viz. Logistic Regression, Naive Bayes, K Nearest-Neighbours Classifier, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, Gradient Descent Boosting, and XGBoost to predict whether a candidate will look for a new job or will stay and work for the company. Additionally, we investigate the factors that play an crucial role in a person’s decision to work for the company so that the HR teams can leverage this knowledge to effectively build training programmes and retain employees.

Education is a key component of the processes refugees undertake to (re)establish their lives in their new communities. In many cases too, displaced individuals have had interruptions in their education paths. In the United States context, nonprofit and community organizations provide essential services to supplement publicly funded resettlement and educational programs. The Blacksburg Refugee Partnership (BRP) has been filling service provision gaps in Southwest Virginia for a group of resettled refugee households since late 2016. BRP provides tutoring, English as a Second Language (ESL) training, and summer supplemental programming. Based upon an interview with BRP’s Education Coordinators and a survey of leaders and volunteers in September 2018, this article explores the organization’s work, connecting it to challenges and opportunities similar education initiatives encounter. I organize research results around three primary themes: the benefits of resettlement in a “college town” and the importance of leveraging university resources; the complexity of volunteer-led programming; and the need for comprehensive services to facilitate students’ education. I conclude by sketching the implications of this case for other educational initiatives serving refugees.

Understanding the sources of national socialism requires exploring religious and philosophical sources of German culture. Such research was carried out by Bogdan Suchodolski and Leon Halban, whose work was included in this book. Their research shows that it is necessary to refer to axiological issues when analyzing contemporary political phenomena.

The informations about the stamps discovered in Tyras were therefore partial and outdated. This work in Russian is therefore welcome, since it publishes nearly 900 stamps found between 1998 and 2008, without selection of production centers and relying on the chronologies usually used. After a few pages on the history, especially the economic one of Tyras, the authors present general considerations on amphoric trade from the catalog which constitutes the most most important of the book.

Some Africans more specifically some dagara, no more want nowadays that their future husbands pay the traditional dowry. Their parents think the contrary. The absence of these social principles deprives this human association of its title of sacred union. Certain antagonisms of the two different worlds appear of which one is inclined to westernization and the other to africanization. This tensive atmosphere led us to the reflection on ‘The dagara dowry’. The problem that it creates is expressed by these terms: be known, explained, well interpreted to the service of the two rival parties. That is the reason of the following sub-titles:”The hermeneutic and intermedial implications”. Our exegetics is based on the behavioral semiotic of the signs and the dagara oral discourses.

In this article, we have chosen to study the issue of reformulation in master dissertations, and more precisely within the literature review, a compulsory chapter in any research work. We have noticed that students very often use elementary reformulation, ie reformulation very close to the source text to reformulate the discourse of other authors. From a corpus made up of extracts from master dissertations written in French as a foreign language and in Romanian as a mother tongue, we will examine the practice of elementary reformulation implemented by the students during the development of the literature review. When students write in French, in addition to the standards to be respected as well as the mastery of scientific knowledge of which they are not yet experts, they must handle one more knowledge : French as a foreign language. In this perspective, the comparative approach will allow us to see if the practice of elementary reformulation is linked to the mastery of scientific discourse or to the linguistic skills of young writers.
