Is there a hidden reality that governs our Universe ? Wheeler, Bekenstein, Susskind, and ‘t Hoft, all of them renowned physicists, the latter being a Nobel laureate, sustain this concept. It is about a theory, recently set out by the four physicists mentioned before, the so - called Theory of the Holographic Universe that puts the information in the first place. Today, this theory is accepted by a group of physicists that is growing steadily, and that studies the String Theories. First, Stephen Hawking predicted that the „black holes”, which seemed to be swallowing everything, were manifesting their presence by emitting radiation with an extremely low temperature. If a black hole can evaporate, a most portion of the information it contains is lost forever, said Hawking.Later on, it was the turn of Leonard Susskind, one of String Theories’ founder, and ‘t Hoft, both of them working under Wheeler’s guidance, to state that Hawking radiation emitted by a black hole represents the support, material substratum that delivers information related to what is happening in such a hole. This information remains on the surface of a universe that is created through a Big Bang by that black hole (Bekenstein, Susskin, ’t Hoft). And, as a laser beam that passes through bi-dimensional symbols on a transparent surface will generate a tri-dimensional hologram, in the same way the information on the surface of a universe such as ours will generate, in an adequate way, within it, all tri-dimensional entities inside the universe.Juan Maldacena formalized this theory with an audacious mathematical conjecture. Briefly, here is the story of the „Holographic Universe”. The most important fact for us is that Mihai Drăgănescu's Ontological-Informational Model -very similar but not identical with the Holographic Universe Model- was formalized before the last one. And according to Drăgănescu's approach, the Theory of the Holographic Universe may be considered a particular case of the Ontological-Informational Modelas you will see in this paper later on.

This paper presents a brief overview of the historical evolution of approaches to the design of structures for wind loads. The interdisciplinary nature of this field is noted, involving as it does elements of micrometeorology, extreme wind climatology, aerodynamics, wind tunnel testing, structural dynamics, aeroelasticity, structural reliability and, last but not least, structural engineering. Technological advances in the areas of simultaneous pressure measurements and “big data” processing are shown to have led to a new paradigm in the relation between the structural designer and the wind engineer, wherein the former is in full control of all aspects of the modern design process, referred to as database-assisted design.

The report presents a seminar-practicum, including theory, observation and experimental activity, applicable to teaching Physics and astronomy in Grade 7. Through separate work centers, under the leadership of lecturers and students from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” experimental tasks, such as making a spectroscope, eye model, color world, vibration and sound, have been accomplished. This ceminar-practicum as a non-formal teaching and learning gives opportunities for students to develop their creative potential, and enrich the theory and practice in Physics and Astronomy.

The main goal of this report is to conduct a substantial analysis of some fundamental normative documents in the Secondary and university systems of education. A vector model of the professional competency of the biology teacher has been modeled on the grounds of this theoretical analysis. The concept of the discipline “The origin of life and theories of evolution” in the context of the standards of the biology teacher training at the University of Sofia is well described here. A piece of the curriculum in the form of topics and their descriptions is presented, as well.

Bioactive peptides are protein fragments that have a positive impact on body functions and may ultimately influence health. Angiotensin-converting enzyme plays an important role in the control of arterial blood pressure. The main action of Angiotensin II is to maintain blood pressure and fluid balance in the body. It is obtained from the precursor under catalytic action of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). In order to control (inhibit) the action of the ACE different inhibitors were proposed and some of them are already in use in the clinic. In the present investigation we design and docking studies of fife new potential ACE inhibitors. Three of the proposed analogues have a potential to be ACE inhibitors, as they bind to the enzyme stronger than His-Leu. The studied peptides may form as a basis for the design of new compounds and will be synthesized and biologically tested.

A series of 4-(substituted benzylidene-amino)-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-3-pyrazoline-5-ones (3a-l) was obtained using sonochemical assisted reaction. The synthesized Schiff bases were evaluated for their antiviral, antibacterial, anticandida, DPPH scavenging and anti-tyrosinase activities in vitro. The antimicrobial screening results revealed that amongst the tested imines, compound 3l appeared to be а promising one (with a minimal inhibitory concentration 47 ug/ml). The most potent DPPH scavengers were azometines 3a and 3g. No significant inhibition on the monophenolase activity in vitro of mushroom tyrosinase was observed.

Colloidal solutions of ~2 nm CdSe nanoparticles have been obtained by electrosynthesis with simultaneous extraction into p-xylene. The effect of electrolyte composition on the structure of electrodeposited CdSe nanoparticles has been established, their absorption and photoluminescence spectra have been analyzed. Exciton absorption of light by synthesized CdSe nanoparticles splits into three bands, which is characteristically for the small CdSe nanoparticles. Photoluminescence excited at wavelengths corresponding to curve bending decreases in intensity within the 350 -550 nm region with a maximum of 430 nm. This fact indicates on the formation of small (~ 2 nm) of CdSe nanoparticles in the process of electrosynthesis as well. Studies have shown that by the proposed method of electrochemical synthesis it is possible to obtain nanoparticles that are promising for the creation of optical liquid–crystalline composites.

The previously reported 6-amino-4-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-methyl-1,4-dihydropyrano [2, 3-c] pyrazole-5-carbonitrile 1 was prepared and utilized as a precursor for novel heterocycles such as Benzoxazinone 4, Pyrazolopyranopyrimidines 8, 9, 12, 13 and 20 tetrazolopyrimidine 15 and triazolopyrimidine 16 with anticipated antimicrobial activity. The structural features of these novel heterocycles were characterized and confirmed by their spectral analysis as well as elemental analyses.
