Aspecte ale dezvoltării personale la Ken Wilber. O evaluare teologico-misionară

Author(s): Iulian-Constantin Vrabie / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

For over a century, psychologists have been actively creating innovative theories of human development. Many of these theories are also relevant to understanding spiritual and religious growth. Some of these are important general theories of human growth, while others are more specific theories of moral development with concerns that overlap with those of spiritual or religious formation. One of the most recent such theories of human development is the integral theory model proposed by psychologist Ken Wilber. In an early work entitled The Atman Project, Wilber outlines a transpersonal theory of development that draws on sources from religion, psychology and philosophy.Ken Wilber's integral theory is a comprehensive and integrative approach to human cognition that attempts to integrate multiple dimensions of human experience into a coherent model. In this context of the development of the human person, Eastern theology starts primarily from the vertical relationship, that means in the centre of human existence is the relationship with a personal God, and following the model of the Holy Trinity the relationship with one's fellow human beings is also integrated. This relationship involves a movement, an exploration or a journey, because being a human person involves not only the quality of sharing with others, but also that of growing. For Metropolitan Kalistos Ware, therefore, the point of contact between patristic theology and contemporary psychology is shown in the fact that this personal character of the human person is not something fixed and static, but involves development, growth. Now, in Orthodox theology, this dynamic character of the human person is expressed in the distinction between the image of God and the likeness of God.

Unificarea învățământului teologic-seminarial din Principatele Române, prin Legea Instrucțiunii Publice

Author(s): Dănuț Novac / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The institutional changes that came with the Union of the two Principalities, on January 24, 1859, under Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza (1859-1866), influenced, as expected, the evolution of theological education. In this context, theological seminaries in the country would inevitably go through a series of changes. Thus, between 1859-1864, several steps took place through which the state tried and managed to delimit in a very clear manner the attributions of the church part from those of the political authorities in regulating, monitoring, supporting and carrying out the activities of the Seminaries. The purpose of this text is to present the historical context in which the involvement of the Ministry of Cults and Public Instruction in supervising the activity of seminaries has become predominantly dominant, making the Church play a much diminished role in the life of theological schools. During the present historical analysis we will follow the steps of this educational program that aimed to unify the theological-seminary education of the two principalities

The article presents the analysis of visual persuasion from the point of view of the rules of entries on the so-called. Gestalt rules. In the course of qualitative visual analyzes of Paco Rabanne's One Million perfume advertisement, it was shown that the composition of the service of film frames is governed by two rules: grouping by proximity and grouping by similarity, thanks to which their management of the visual processes is observed around the two main characters of the spot: the perfume bottle and its user . Thus, it has been proven that by means of simple visual means: points and lines visible on the screen of the image, at the level of the visual code, the overarching goal of the advertising message, i.e. the persuasive goal, can be seen.

DİNLER TARİHİ ANABİLİM DALI

DİNLER TARİHİ ANABİLİM DALI

Author(s): Rukiye Aysun İnan,Hayriye Özlem Sürer / Language(s): Turkish Publication Year: 0

Author(s): Nur Betül Atakul / Language(s): Turkish Publication Year: 0

Author(s): Sorin Gheorghe Suciu / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

Starting from the term “transdisciplinarity”, launched by Jean Piaget and revitalized by Basarab Nicolescu – in the sense originally intended, by emphasizing the meaning of “beyond”, in addition to the “between” and the “in” of the Latin prefix “trans-” –, our paper attempts to illustrate the induction of the false Manichean perception of the science–religion dichotomy, a perception which is, in our opinion, at the root of the current problems of mankind. In this sense, after a historical overview of the concept of transdisciplinarity, as the crowning of interdisciplinarity, using Nicolesco’s concept of “the hidden third” and some examples from the poetry of Mihai Eminescu, we try to reveal how the “weak” offspring of Science (including Philology) – seen from the perspective of scientism as a doctrine of epistemology – could reinvigorate the increasingly dense but at the same time arid field of knowledge.

Author(s): Lucian Vasile PETROAIA / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The theme of theological reflection set by the Holy Synod for the year 2024 also provides an opportunity to take a careful look at the pastoral approach of the Christianity, by the priest, in one of the most difficult situations in life, illness. By the nature of his pastoral ministry, the priest is often in the situation of visiting sick Christians, at home or in hospital, reading them a prayer, listening to their confession, and doing the Holy Communion. The method of spiritual closeness and especially the pastoral method of approaching delicate aspects, which are related to the extreme situation that the illness creates in human life, are part of the art of pastoralism. Not much is said about these things in the classes of the Pastoral discipline during theological studies. And if we also take into account the lack of an official manual of "Pastoral Care" in Romanian theology, updated to the mentality of the sick and to their present demands, the problem becomes even more difficult. Using the text of the anastatic edition of this manual, edited by Fr. prof. dr. Viorel Sava and Deacon, Phd, Cezar Pelin (Iasi, 2011), the present study aims to identify these pastoral principles enunciated by the bishop-author at the end of the 19th century, to put them in mirror with the spiritual requirements of the Fathers of the Church who dealt with the problem of pastoring the sick, to observe their effectiveness for pastoring in the Novecento and to confront them with today's mentality and psycho-pastoral requirements, trying also some suggestions for "a step further".

Words of Truth. The Healing Role of the Sacred Language

Author(s): Dan SANDU / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

The restorative work in the Orthodox Church finds its origins in the earthly practice of Jesus Christ, whose ministry was a continuous series of healings – a natural outcome of divine mercy toward afflicted human nature. According to St. John Chrysostom’s interpretation of the healing of the paralytic (Matthew 9, 1-8), it is the soul’s restoration that is the hardest to accomplish, and the physical healing follows naturally from this. The Church has promoted and deepened the Word of Scriptures through painting, which serve as the beautiful means of therapy in visual form. The Word is divine, while the word has divine origin, and can be expressed in poetry, acting, music, writing and proclaiming, most of them in the context of such an amazing liturgical life. The Orthodox Church has embraced the Word of Scriptures, adorned it with music and hymns, dogmatic formulas which are to be proclaimed towards the people of God, who need comfort, healing and eventually salvation. When one prays, one’s soul raises up to heavenly realms; when more people pray, the visible and invisible “Church” join in, becoming an environment and a form of therapy that rescues and promotes well-being here and a sense of safety in the age to come.

Author(s): Hrisant (Antonios) TSACHAKIS / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

On October 14, 1775, with the blessing of Metropolitan Gabriel of Moldova, the holy Abbot Paisius Velicikovski left the Monastery of Dragomirna and moved to the Monastery of Secu, in the Carpatic mountains with 350 of his monks. He continued there, the great spiritual work and patristic translations but also he tried to make the monastery much bigger because the amount of the monks increased very fast. Asking for financial support from Voievod Constantin Moruzi, the state head, to continue the constructions in order to meke space for the brotherhood which was multiplying day by day, he received a response from the state that changed all his plans and silent. The decision of the state and the Metropolitan was not to support him in the Secu Monastery, but to move along with the brotherhood to a much bigger Monastery , which was the great Monastery of Neamts. Even if the Abbot Paisius tried to change their opinion and remain in Secu Monastery, he didn’t succeed and on August 15 1779, Abbot Paisius with 14 of his monks moved to the final for his life and spiritual work place, the great and historical Monastery of Neamts. Monastery of Secu remained under his spiritual blessing and the life and monastic typikon of those two places was always very similar under the blessing of the great Abbot, Saint Paisius Velicikovski.

Aportul Sf. Andrei al Cretei la imnografia Sărbătorii Naşterii Maicii Domnului. Studiu pe textul liturgic

Author(s): Dănuț BĂCĂUANU / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The contribution of St. Andrew of Crete to the hymnography of the feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God is a significant and edifying one regarding the event celebrated on September 8. The Canon of Matins places the believer in cognitive and spiritual contact with the Mother of the new humanity, restored through Christ. The author is under the influence of the Christian geographical-spiritual triad, Damascus, Jerusalem, Constantinople, which was the basis for the foundation and promotion of the feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God. Damascus through theological poetry, Jerusalem through offering the typical model, and Constantinople through the adoption and spread of the holiday. The stylistics of his hymnography highlight the theological elements surrounding the birth of the Virgin Mary so that the faithful people have easier access to the knowledge of the one from whom the Son of God took His human nature. All this effort of St. Andrew of Crete comes from the love and piety he had for the Mother of God.

Scripta manent!

Author(s): Constantin-Ciprian BLAGA / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The current research argues the issue of the origin and evolution of the written tradition concept in the life of the Church. Developed by ancient Sumerians, the writing technique has gradually entered the Church, becoming the favorite method of its servants when making official pronouncements. This option was justified by three arguments. First of all, it gave doctrinal certainty and protected the believers from the risk of dogmatized content distortion. Secondly, it facilitated sharing the faith teaching when the preacher could not be present in the missionary field whenever it was necessary. Third, it was a guarantee that the future generations would have access to their content, for witness and for trust. Based on these arguments, the written tradition considerably expanded, so Church developed a true art of printing.

Teologia imnografică a sărbătorii Bunei-Vestiri reflectată în Imnul-Acatist: analiză teologico-literară

Author(s): Gheorghiță-Mădălin CEOBANU / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

In this study I intend to identify and present the main themes specific to the Feast of the Annunciation, reflected in the Hymn-Akathist: the parallel between the old Adam and the new Adam, the parallel between Eve and the Virgin Mary, the death that came through sin – the eternal life brought by the Savior Jesus Christ, the virginal conception of the Savior Jesus Christ in the womb of the Virgin Mary and the virginity of the Mother of God. The main methods that I will approach in the drafting process are: historical, descriptive, exegetic, comparative and liturgical commentary. In the first part, through the historical method, I will present the history of the Hymn-Akathist. In the second part, by means of the comparative method, I will draw up some tables with the help of which I will present the main sources from which the author of the Hymn-Akathist was inspired, as well as the textual dependencies on the Holy Scripture and the homilies of the Holy Fathers: St. Proclus, Patriarch of Constantinople (434-446); Saint Cyril, Archbishop of Alexandria (412-444) and Bishop Basil of Seleucia (440-468). Then, through the exegetical method, descriptive and liturgical commentary, I will present the theological-spiritual meanings of the themes specific to the Feast of the Annunciation.

We consider that Father Professor Nicolae D. Necula made the first great synthesis and presentation about the cult, doctrine and religious life of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Romanian theology. This contribution is and will remain a landmark for Orthodox theologians and not only who want to study and have clear information about the Coptic Orthodox Church, as history, doctrine and worship. In the first part of the study, we will present a brief history of the Coptic Orthodox Church, from its beginnings to the present. In the second chapter we will consider the contribution of Father Professor Nicolae D. Necula to the presentation of the doctrine, worship and church life of the Coptic Orthodox Church. Our study wants to present the contribution Father Professor Nicolae D. Necula had in the Romanian theological space as well as his ecumenical vision, having as a foundation the common points that the two Churches share in terms of doctrine, worship and religious life.

Sfântul Teodor Studitul – părinte duhovnicesc și stareț iscusit. Metode practice de transmitere a cuvântului înțelepciunii

Author(s): Stelian GHEORGHIASA / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

In this study we want to observe the evolution of language by analyzing language as An austerius monk, practical theologian and spiritual father, Saint Theodore the Studite has been recognized by posterity as one of the greatest organizers of Eastern cenobitic monasticism, being compared by his disciples to Saint Basil the Great. Since the beginnings of the cenobitic monasticism in the Eastern Ortohodoxy, there have been specific times when he prior addressed his monks with exhortations whose essential purpose was to explain the word of God and spiritual growth. The frequency of the words addressed by the prior to the monks of Studion Monastery is inspired by this practice.Catecheses reveal the greatness of this dignity, but also the burden it implies. The burden consisted in the fact that the abbot had to adapt to the temperaments of his numerous monks and avoid the danger of treating them uniformly. The abbot assisted each in their striving for perfection and, in order to adapt to the needs to the needs of each, he must know them in depth.

Author(s): Vasile-Lucian V. GOLDAN / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

One of the problems of church administration that marked the archbishopric of Iasi and Bucharest in the second half of the 19th century was the material situation of the lay clergy, which was far from satisfactory. This problem, the poverty of a significant part of the priests, attracted the attention of the superior clergy, but only after significant protests of the "subordinates". Two of these protests materialized in the congresses held by them in 1882 in Bucharest and 1885 in Focșani. The peculiarity of these priestly congresses is that the meetings were held without the blessing and consent of the hierarchs. Using the periodical "Deșteptarea" the priests were to publicly lament their fate, condemning the abusive behavior of the hierarchs in their dealings with them, the lack of representatives (priests of myrrh) in the Holy Synod and the lack of empathy of the hierarchs towards their problems. The brother priests employed in the administrative apparatus were not forgotten either, as they were accused of putting pressure on priests to pay various dues to the diocesan centers.

„Apropiatu-s-a ziua dumnezeieștii veselii...” . Analiza imnografiei Înainte-prăznuirii Schimbării la Față a Domnului

Author(s): Efrem MOCANU / Language(s): Romanian Publication Year: 0

The Transfiguration of Christ is one of the greatest and most explicit theophanies ever recorded in Christian tradition, The Glory and The Light being almost omnipresent in the New Testament Scriptures. As always, the hymnography of the feast notices, assumes, and enshrines the mistagogical significance which rises from the Scriptures and from the hermeneutics of the Fathers. This is why a believer who joins the life in Christ in Church understands that the Feast of Transfiguration is not only a remembrance of the first century Thabor event, but also an eschatological promise and an invitation for one to be part of the fulfilment of the Transfiguration that started on Thabor, surrounded by the entire Church: the Law, The Prophets, The Gospel and The Apostolic tradition, all into the same ‘cloud’ of the Holy Spirit. The luminous Grace which coated Jesus Christ was not something which He received in that moment, but His power which was now unveiled for the eyes of disciples, ‘inasmuch as they could bear’, to strengthen their faith in the light of Passion, which was close, preparing them to understand the real Glory and to recognise Him as the King of Glory (Ο Βασιλεὺς της Δόξης). The link between Thabor and Golgotha is visible not only because it respects the Gospel’s chronology, but also the hymnography attests it through plenty of references to the Cross, keeping the subtle trace of the place of the Feast of Transfiguration into the Great Lent’s context.

Tattooing: the point of view of Orthodox Ethics

Author(s): Miltiadis VANTSOS / Language(s): English Publication Year: 0

Tattooing is often seen as a form of personal aesthetics and self-expression, but it also carries ethical implications related to one's relationship with self, society and spirituality. While tattoos have historical and cultural significance, today they are primarily a means of body modification and self-identity. The ethical concerns arise from the permanence of tattoos, which are associated with physical health risks and can influence how individuals relate to their evolving selves and social roles. The Fathers of the Church, noting that people attach great importance to the beauty of the body - which is perishable, temporary and of no use for the spiritual life and the attainment of holiness - compare it with the beauty of the soul, which is not subject to physical decay and attracts the love and esteem of one's fellow men and the favour of God. In their view, all forms of excessive beautification of the body can encourage a materialistic mentality and promote vanity. The article concludes that while tattooing is not intrinsically evil, it can easily divert the spiritual life from its true course.
