Sječkovo
The paper sets out the principal findings of the investigations of a Bronze Age site, the settlement of Sječkovo in the hamlet of Laminci-Dubrave near Bosanska Gradiška. The extensive archaeological material, in the shape of pottery, bone, stone, flint and metal finds, place Sječkovo among the richer sites of the Barice-Gređani cultural group, the end of which coincided with the emergence of the urnfield culture. The metal finds (pins, a dagger with a trapezoid plate) suggest that the settlement belongs to the Middle Bronze Age. The simple horizontal and indistinctly differentiated vertical stratigraphy of the settlement suggests that it was occupied on a seasonal or occasional basis.
