The article focuses on the transformations of body and soul in the context of sexual revolution. Relations between the spiritual and the material are analised, as embodied in Nina Hif, a major character in The White Angel with Black Wings by a young Belarusian poetess and playwright Diana Bałyko. The discussed meritorical content exposes the current problems of contemporary societies, with particular focus on the consequences of impoverished awareness in the sexual lives of women.

The article analyzes specific type of personages form plays by Diana Balyko, a young writer who belongs to Generation X. Based on sociological research it is possible to identify characteristics of dramatis personae who share a world with the Generation of Millennials — potential/virtual consumers, whose characteristic behavior is active use of multimedia technology and Internet resources. The author considers concepts of sex, love, and reality — regarded as „traditional” for the „X-es” — where ideas and principles of „Y-es” are becoming more and more conspicuous.

Doc. Dr. Sc. Diana Sorić was born in 1973 in Zadar and graduated in Classical Stu¬dies and Italian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zadar. In 2013 she advocated a dissertation entitled Fami¬ly Correspondence of Antun Vrančić: Critical Edition of Manuscripts and Stylistic and Lan¬guage Features. She is currently the head of the Department of Classical Philology at the University of Zadar. Since, October of 2015, she has been working as an associate profes¬sor. At the Department of Classical Philolo¬gy, she has been teaching Latin, historiogra¬phy, Croatian Latin, and epistolography of Croatian Latinists. She leads lectures and seminars from the above mentioned areas of teaching. As part of her scientific research, she is dedicated to the personality and literary opus of AntunVrančić, (1504 – 1573), Croatian cleric, humanist writer, statesman and diplomat. “Seriozitatea jocului. O abordare multidisciplinară a ludicului” (The seriousness of playing. A multidisciplinary approach to playfulness), coordinated by Diana Mărgărit and Ciprian Jeler, was published in 2021 at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Publishing House, introducing the topic of game, as seen from the perspective of ten original contributions of researchers and authors dedicated to this vast topic. Playing, an activity that does not seem to raise major epistemic issues, comes out unfolding its multiple dimensions such as semantic, aesthetic, historical, social, anthropological or ontological relevance. As a philosopher interested in topics that encompass a wide range of extended applicability disciplines, the subject of play seems to me as much fascinating and spectacular as it is peculiar, mysterious, enticing. I found myself delighted to encounter in contemporary philosophy a paper work that gathers in its content such a vast repertoire of meanings, approaches and tensions related to the proposed topic. Thus, this volume represents a bold proposal to reconsider the playing’s multidisciplinarity - this human activity that firmly supports the psychological, emotional and intellectual development. Last but not least, this volume illustrates through its articles an organic development of perception concerning the play, from its most obvious meanings to overthrowing nuances of meaning and practical intuitions to a pellucid approach regarding the individual - community and otherness relationship, which is closely related to game functionality.

The anonymous Historia Apollonii Regis Tyri has attracted significant critical commentary in recent years, not the least on questions of authorship and date, and on its relationship to other extant Greek and Latin romances and novels. Close study of certain aspects of its plot re-veals a carefully wrought, intertextual engagement with Books I and IV of Virgil’s Aeneid and the poet’s comparison of Dido and Aeneas to Diana and Apollo.
