GEOREVIEW journal is a continuation and, at the same time, an update of the scientific journal Annals of University "Stefan cel Mare" Geography Series, established in 1992. Since 2013 this publication began to appear in a format new display in English, received the name of GEOREVIEW. Substantial changes to the form and substance led to increased visibility nationally, but especially internationally.  Its main objective is the presentation of recent interdisciplinary field geoscience (earth and life sciences) focusing mainly on the Carpatho-Balkan (Central and East Europe), but without limiting it. Access to full manuscripts of works published in GEOREVIEW is free (open-access journal) for anyone wishing to consult the articles published in this journal. The journal has a younger and dynamic management structure, a new design, an editorial board that includes distinguished scientists of international stature in the earth sciences and collaborations with several journals at home and abroad. Moreover, GEOREVIEW journal is part of a multifunctional online platform, which in addition to the reserved area magazine, also includes the section dedicated to scientific events organized under the aegis of or in conjunction with this journal. Meridian critic

Frequency: 1 issues / Country: Romania

Meridian Critic – Analele Universităţii „Ştefan cel Mare”, Suceava. Seria Filologie. B. Literatură (ISSN 2069-6787) is a biannual scholarly journal in the field of  humanities (foreign languages and literatures; Romanian language and literature).

The journal appeared in 1992 under the title Analele Universităţii „Ştefan cel Mare”, Suceava. Seria Filologie, and since 2009 it has been published under the title Meridian critic. Analele Universităţii „Ştefan cel Mare” Suceava. Seria Filologie. B. Literatură.

The publication has an interdisciplinary character and is structured in 3 parts: a Critical File, the Exegesis section, and the Reviews section. The critical file proposes the reevaluation and reconsideration from manifold perspectives of such themes as: Thomas Mann. Identity and Non-identity (1/2007), Mircea Eliade (2/2007), The Myth of Metamorphosis (1/2008), The Avant-garde and Poetic Modernism (2/2008), Postmodernism (1/2009), The Modernity and Postmodernity of E. A. Poe (2/2009), Utopia and Dystopia (1-2/2010), Text, Memory, Oblivion (1-2/2011). These themes reflect a large area of scientific concerns in the fields of literary theory, history of literature, and criticism; they offer the possibility of creating new premises of research, facilitate inter-university exchanges at a national and international level, and thus integrate Romanian research in a dynamic context. The contributors are professors and researchers from Romania and from other countries of Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Australia.

Both by its thematic dossiers and by its other articles, the journal introduces representative names of Romanian literary, research as well as values of Romanian literature and culture in an international circuit. ANADISS

Frequency: 2 issues / Country: Romania

The academic journal ANADISS is a biannual publication which comes out at Suceava University Press. On the initiative of the members of the "Discourse Analysis" Research Centre founded in 2005 within the Faculty of Letters and Communication Sciences from "Stefan cel Mare" University, Suceava, the articles and their abstracts are written in French, English, German, Spanish or Italian.

One of the fundamental components of the human existence's dimension is the linguistic one. Language defines the human presence as intensely as the human becoming stabilizes and affirms the language. In the contemporary world, this equilibrium is often fragile.

The present publication proposes the presentation of such contributions, which can sustain the aggrandizement and the establishment of the human-language relation. To this end, our journal's preoccupations gravitate around themes such as: political discourse, text and discursiveness, discourse and didacticism, inter-text - inter-discourse, discourse and society, linguistic imaginary and language dynamics, production and capture of specialty discourses, discursive perspectives and various cultural contexts, knowledge and discourse: discursive and non-discursive practices, inter-text and inter-speech, discourse and society, linguistic imaginary and language dynamics, discourse and identity. We illustrate through these the Saussurian principal according to which "la langue n'est faite qu'en vue du discours", without ignoring its materialization within the text.

Journal Policy: ANADISS is an international journal that accepts for publication reviewed original papers, short communications, reviews and conference proceedings on a broad range of topics of interest for Discourse Analysis, particularly, for Linguistics in general. There are no article processing charges (APC) or article submission charge.

Author's Ownership and Rights: The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright and to retain publishing rights on their materials.

Open Access Policy: ANADISS Journal offers „open access” to published literature. ANADISS Journal assures has free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. ANADISS Journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Open access enables authors to reach a much broader audience, which has the potential to increase the impact of their research. The ANADISS issues are available online for free, without any charge to download or print each article.

CONCORDIA DISCORS vs DISCORDIA CONCORS: Researches into Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, Cross-Cultural and Translation Strategies

Frequency: 1 issues / Country: Romania

Concordia Discors vs Discordia Concors is a self-supporting peer-reviewed open access annual academic journal of international scope. It provides an interdisciplinary forum for the publication of high-quality articles on comparative literature, contrastive linguistics, cross-cultural and translation strategies. The journal is based at the Inter Litteras Research Centre affiliated to Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania, and is currently published by Ștefan cel Mare University Press.

Although, admittedly, promoted in recent years from a backup-strategy position to a ‘must’ of international research, comparative techniques unfortunately are still keeping an embarrassingly low profile both Europe- and worldwide. Since, in addition, final panel-debates held at the first edition of Inter Litteras et Terras (International Conference onComparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, Cross-Cultural and Translation Strategies organized in September 2007 by the Inter Litteras Research Centre) made it abundantly clear that the academic event referred to exposed but “the tip of a huge iceberg” , i.e. that the residue of topics left undiscussed in research areas as encompassing as the ones at issue is bound to be infinitely larger than the number of topics dealt with, the imperious need arose for a forum where ventilation of new concepts, of recently advanced theories and strategies in the field, as well as fruitful exchanges of ideas with fellow comparatists from all over the world could be carried out on a much more regular basis.

Acutely aware of the challenging task they are hereby taking on, in an effort to efface “one of the consummate ironies of history [,] that Comparatists, for so long the fringe radicals of academe, have become the ultimate insiders of 21st century cultural studies” (Redmond 2003:Comparative Literature in the 21st Century), the editors invite articles offering interesting suggestions for employment of new research tools and techniques, and revealing ‘untrodden paths’, in short, contributing original comparative research conducted on the major topics put forward for investigation by issues to come.

Though the journal’s target readership make up primarily researchers, academics and BA, MA or doctoral students with a, so to say, ‘comparative streak’, the series is intended to reach a wider audience including pre-university connoisseurs, particularly those pursuing advanced linguistic, literary or cultural studies.

It is the firm belief of the editorial board that Concordia Discors vs Discordia Concors ( CDDC ) will open up new vistas, promote thought-provoking approaches and, above all, provide nimble minds with the rare opportunity to apply and assert themselves in the fascinating – if, alas, still underpopulated – province of comparative philology and humanities.
