Short Description
Previously published as Sacra Scripta, ISSN (print): 1584-7624 (ceased); ISSN-L: 1584-7624 (ceased), 2003-2025,
Starting 2026 Sacra Scripta is part of the Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai series and is proved to be a journal of scientific research of the Babeş-Bolyai University, designated to the academic field and also to the students and researchers. The study volumes of the Symposiums of the Centre’s research are materialized in special numbers of the Centre’s journal, Studia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai Sacra Scripta (Sacra Scripta between 2003-2025).
Research is carried out by the biblical scholars of the four (Orthodox, Greek Catholic, Roman Catholic, Reformed) Theological Faculties of the Babeş-Bolyai University. Research implies collaboration with other scholars from Romania (Bucharest, Sibiu, Alba Iulia, Iasi, Oradea) and also with international scholars who have achieved remarkable results.
A special attention is given to the interdisciplinary, inter-religious and ecumenical character of the publications. It is taken into account the area enlargement of Sacra Scripta distribution through subscription from country and abroad.
The review are indexing in Central and Eastern European Online Library and EBSCO.
Beginning with 2007 CBS publishes 2 issues per year; studies are published in international languages; peer-reviewed starting with 2005.
