Summary/Abstract: Forty years have passed since the publication of “Many Voices, One World” report aimed at a new more just and more efficient world information and communication order. Created in the specific conditions after the Second World War, the report is charged with the ambition to find solutions to information inequalities. The text seeks to answer the question of whether these hopes have succeeded. The answer is negative and the final proposal is to look from the new contemporary perspective to what is happening now in the communication environment.
