Summary/Abstract: The report explores the constitutional foundations of the protection of competition in the Republic of Bulgaria, reviewed in the context of the principles of freedom of economic initiative (art. 19, para. 1 Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria) and the equal legal conditions for conducting business (Art. 19 para. 2 Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria). Also are examined the established in Art. 18, para. 4 Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria opportunities to establish a state monopoly over certain economic activities.
