Summary/Abstract: For a lot of Polish teachers, formative assessment still constitutes a certain sortof novelty. The aim of the article is to discuss the implementation of this type of assessmentin the Mikołaj Rej Public Secondary School no. 26 in Łódź. The article focuses on the ideaof formative assessment as well as its different forms utilized in Spanish language secondaryschool classes at the III.0 education level. Moreover, the article touches upon IT tools whichfacilitate formative assessment during class. The ideas expressed in the article are universalenough that they can be also utilized in foreign language education in general.
