Summary/Abstract: One of the authors that had the greatest influence on the Franciscan MatijaDivković was the German Dominican Johannes Herolt (†1468). He wrote a Latin book of sermons in Latin, example as and miracles of Mary Sermones Discipuli de tempore et de sanctis cum Promptuario exemplorum et de miraculis Beatae Mariae Virginis – which were extremely popular in Western Europe in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. His collection of sermons left a significant mark on Croatian religious literature, from its arrival in the sixteenth century in the form of the Glagolitic Disipuli, which contained partial translations of the aforementioned Latin book, through the work of Matija Divković, and finally through many authors from seventeenth and eighteenth centuries who used Herolt teachings and narrative pieces when compiling their religious didactic literature.
