Summary/Abstract: n the context of modern warfare, a significant, accelerating trend is the implementation of advanced Tactical Data Links (TDLs) to serve as the backbone for secure, standardized, and real-time communication across multi-domain operations. As conflicts shift toward network-centric warfare, militaries are increasingly utilizing TDLs to achieve information superiority, ensuring interoperability between diverse, geographically dispersed, and often multi-national platforms. This article investigates how the evolution of Tactical Data Links (TDLs) helped the implementation and modernisation of traditional warfare concepts and doctrines. Once again, it addresses ever-standing challenges such as interoperability among NATO Nations, as well as among different operational domains, providing an overview on recent improvements and future expectations
