Summary/Abstract: In the context of globalization, international exchange in the field of education is becoming a leading mechanism for the dissemination of knowledge and the building of a global academic community. It serves as a powerful tool for cultural interaction and the creation of cross-border learning opportunities. For decades international mobility has been regarded as synonymous with opportunity and perhaps the most recognizable program in this regard in Europe is undoubtedly Erasmus/Erasmus+. The Erasmus program was established in the late 1980s as a student mobility initiative – enabling study at a foreign European university for a defined period. The idea evolved into a comprehensive concept, now known as Erasmus+. The latter represents a broader framework that integrates previous programs for transnational cooperation and mobility in the fields of education, vocational training, youth activities and sports, expanding its scope beyond the borders of Europe. This report focuses on student mobility and academic exchange, while other areas included in the program are not subject to the current analysis.
