Summary/Abstract: This report examines the implementation of three Industry 4.0 new technologies in global supply chains and their management and operation. The author argues the thesis that new technologies are a fundamental and necessary factor for the development of contemporary international business, because they provide a number of opportunities for companies and their global supply chains. After a brief introduction to the essence of digital supply chains, the report continues with a discussion on the benefits and challenges of implementing the three technologies in global supply chains. Examples of best practices are also presented.
