Summary/Abstract: The Belt & Road Initiative is considered not simply as an infrastructure development strategy, but also as the branding blueprint for China’s foreign policy. However, its energy trajectories were not so often in the spotlight. With the calls for sustainable development, the spill-over effects of PRC’s domestic transformations in the energy field are also visible in its new approach towards investments in the BRI countries. In the light of these new trends, the paper explores the principal dimensions of Chinese energy projects in different regions and their repercussions for boosting energy transition and green growth.
