Summary/Abstract: Composer and conductor Teodor Zgureanu was one of the most representative choral conductors of the Republic of Moldova, known both in the Romanian cultural space and beyond it thanks to his conducting presence on national and international stages, leading several choral ensembles of high artistic standing (the Academic Choral Chapel Doina of the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, the Moldova Choral Chapel of the Teleradio‑Moldova Company), but especially through his work with the famous women’s chamber choir Renaissance, which he founded at the end of the 1980s. With this ensemble, he won prestigious awards at international choral competitions and secured a well‑deserved place among the world’s elite choral formations.
