Summary/Abstract: Mauriciu Weissenberg was a personality of scientific research in construction in our country, which was affirmed in the period after the Second World War, since the establishment and organization of this activity in Romania. He was part of a generation of great researchers (together, among others, with Leonida Löbel, Marcel Tannenbaum, Cosma Damian, Ştefan Enescu, Aurel Cambureanu, Dan Victor Dumitrescu, Romulus Constantinescu, Dan F. Dumitrescu) who worked with outstanding results within the Building Research Institute in Bucharest, bringing prestige to this elite institution of Romanian research. His professional career after emigrating to the United States of America was a natural continuity of a valuable researcher's path. His valuable scientific and professional activity highlights a model of excellence in this field, which deserves to be remembered by specialists of the contemporary period. The evocation and homage to his personality on his 105th birthday justifies the development of this article.
