Summary/Abstract: Through the solutions applied to the execution of silos from Brăila (1884-1888), Galaţi (1884-1889) and Constanţa (1906-1909), engineer Anghel Saligny (1854-1925) is an important designer and innovator, representative of the science of Romania in the international technical context. Engineer Anghel Saligny utilizes the reinforced concrete for the construction of silos for the first time in Europe (grain silo from Brăila, 1888), introduces the precast technology for reinforced concrete constructions for the first time in Europe of grain silos from Brăila (1888), Galaţi (1889) and Constanţa (1909), introduces the welded reinforcement system to assembling. The execution of the new bridge over St. George Channel in Giurgiu (1904-1905), was important for the development of the new harbor situated from Danube. The bridge, designed and executed by engineer Ion Ionescu (1870-1946),is very important for the history and building development in Romania from two points of view: it is the first bridge in Europe who has a trajectory in angle on a horizontal level (curve trajectory) and it used the first reinforced concrete caisson with compressed air for the foundation of a bridge in Romania.
