Summary/Abstract: The participation of staff personnel and military units in multinational operations led by international security structures such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the European Union or within coalitions of forces led by some of the NATO and/or EU member states has always begun with their selection process, which is why the completion of this process in highly efficient conditions and within the planned period represents not only a solid basis for the subsequent fulfillment of the missions undertaken by the Romanian military, regardless of the level and type of subordination, but also proof of a deep understanding of a modern military phenomenon.
