Summary/Abstract: The report focuses on examining the process of digitization in public administration and the related need to amend the legal status of civil servants in Bulgaria. At bases points relevant to the needs of the study, a retrospective review of the development of the administrative service is made, the current regulatory framework is tracked in analytical plan and compared with applicable European standards. Based on the comprehensive analysis, conclusions and summaries are drawn and proposals are made for amendments in national legislation in order to adapt it to the digital environment and guarantee the rights of citizens and civil servants.
