Summary/Abstract: A look at the current global geopolitical, geoeconomic and geostrategic landscape reveals major changes in Europe and in the world, particularly following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the re-election of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America (USA). Some countries abandoned their historical neutrality (Finland and Sweden as European Union (EU) members), and joined NATO, while others asked to join it (Georgia, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina). The EU is beginning to pay much more attention to strengthening common defense capabilities and ensuring strategic autonomy for energy and rare resources. The US seems more focused on domestic issues and the relative disengagement shown in terms of foreign policy facilitates the aggresive assertion of the global powers China and Russia. In the new context, non-military factors, especially geoeconomic instruments, are intensively promoted to achieve geopolitical and geostrategic objectives. In this landscape, some atypical shifts regarding conflicts, intergovernmental organizations, development strategies, leaders and their leadership, etc. are identified and further presented.
