Summary/Abstract: The process of formation the representations about the mass of bodies at preschool age is carried out based on the sensory perception of objects and measuring instruments, related to the particularities of the children's age. Sensory activities develop the baric sense of preschoolers, give children the opportunity to estimate and compare the mass of different bodies. The units and instruments of mass measurement are introduced at the high preschool age with the aim to form the skills necessary for solving everyday problems.
