Summary/Abstract: The creation of a „Digital Twin“ of the transport system represents a virtual model that simulates and optimizes the management of transport infrastructure and public transport through real-time data. This model integrates sensors, GPS, IoT technologies, and artificial intelligence, enabling traffic analysis, simulation of various scenarios, and better planning of routes and schedules. The use of a digital twin leads to more efficient traffic management, reduction of congestion and emissions, improvement of passenger services, and faster response to incidents. The economic and social benefits of implementing digital twins are significant, including cost optimization, increased passenger satisfaction, and sustainable development of urban transport. Successful implementation requires quality data, inter-institutional cooperation, and integration with real management processes. Digital twins are a key tool for modernization and intelligent management of transport systems, supporting informed decision-making and improving the quality of life in cities.
