Summary/Abstract: Globally, universities perform not only an educational, but also an important social and sports function, providing a wide range of opportunities for students' physical activity and competitive performance. A significant part of these initiatives is carried out under the auspices of the International University Sports Federation (FISU). FISU Championships are organized every two years for sports that are not included in the mandatory program of the FISU Summer and Winter Games and are held in the form of a World University Championship. The team from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) and the National Sports Academy (NSA) „Vasil Levski“, represented Bulgaria for the first time at the World University Championship in Cheerleading (FISU, 2024) in two disciplines: University Pom Doubles (pom-pom pair, competitors from UNWE) and University Hip Hop Doubles (hip-hop, from NSA „Vasil Levski“), which took place from July 31 to August 5 in Split, Croatia. The championship featured participants from 14 countries, and 9 teams competed in the Pom Doubles discipline. Although our competitors did not take top positions, their participation was extremely prestigious for the university, and the experience they gained was unforgettable and valuable.
