Summary/Abstract: The professional training and career development of cultural heritage professionals play a key role in the effective management and sustainable development of tourism. In this regard, a study was conducted between April and August 2024 to analyze the opinions of employees in various cultural institutions, including the public, non-governmental and educational sectors, on the opportunities and challenges in their professional development. The study is based on a combined methodological approach, including an online survey with a pre-developed questionnaire and field research with semi-structured interviews. This approach provides a deeper insight into the free answers of the respondents, allowing a more complete understanding of the specific needs and expectations of professionals. The paper presents the main findings of the research, with an emphasis on the assessment of the knowledge and skills of professionals, as well as on the key challenges for training and career development in the field of cultural heritage.
